The Director works closely with families as they prepare to apply their children to kindergarten. The Director provides a comprehensive timeline for both the public and independent school processes. For those families interested in an independent school, the Director shares important information including what to expect on a child’s school visit or parent interview, as well as insights on writing application essays and an explanation of the school reports. Most importantly, having worked closely with you, your child and your child’s teachers across a few years, the Director is a source of advice and guidance as you search for a school that is a good fit for your child’s next educational setting.

Columbia Greenhouse students thrive at various independent and public schools. Typically, we have 50% of our children moving on to independent schools and 50% moving on to public schools throughout the city.
